I remember well my interview with Sergio Averbach during my own recruiting process. After a long, detailed interviewed, I finally asked what Korn/Ferry wanted from me. I was surprised when Sergio told me that he wanted me to join his team because I had never thought of a Talent Management firm as a career destination. My answer was something like: “I do not want to be a headhunter”, to which Sergio answered: “Great, headhunters are at the other firms; we are top Talent Management consultants”. Five (happy and successful) years after that interview, I still remember it as a turning point in my career.
